The process starts with the landlord or estate agency inviting the tenant to complete a verification application form, after which we perform the verification and send the outcome report directly to the landlord or estate agent.
TENANT VERIFICATION CHECKS
Our tenant verification service comprises of 8 different checks carefully designed to ensure completeness.
IDENTITY CHECK
We will validate the tenants identity by confirming that NIN and/or BVN details and cross checking for matches.
PRIOR ADDRESS CHECK
We will check to ensure that the address exists and that the tenant resided at the named address
LANDLORD REFERENCE CHECK
We will obtain a summary reference from the previous landlord that will indicate if the tenant was good, fair or bad and the terms of leaving.
CURRENT EMPLOYMENT CHECK
We will ensure that the named work place legally exists; whether its an owned business or employee relationship and the tenants current role, duration and summary feedback on general conduct
PERSONAL REFERENCE CHECK
We will obtain feedback and general conduct from the tenants personal and/or guarantor references who will confirm relationship duration and feedback on general conduct
ONLINE AND SOCIAL MEDIA CHECK
We will perform an exhaustive search against local and international news sources and publications for adverse media or negative news reports on a named person.
CREDIT CHECK
We will check whether tenant has a credit agreements on file and the general exposure which may indicate affordability
CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK
We will obtain the tenants criminal records file that may display a clean or a list of criminal activities charged against the tenant.

LANDLORD SIGNS UP
- Service requires every landlord or estate agent to register
- A portal to login using emails and to download reports
- Every property is treated as a unique and reporting entity
- Landlord will determine which report type is required.

LANDLORD INVITES TENANT
- The landlord can initiate the request to verify a tenant by generating and sending a link to the tenant.
- Our system will generate a link with an invitation to verify, which can easily be shared with the tenant via e-mail, SMS or messenger.

TENANT MAKES APPLICATION
- Tenant will select pre-defined property
- Property specific online application forms.
- Tenant will complete forms and provide all required information via online application forms.

WE REPORT TO LANDLORD
- All reports are valid for 3 months and can be re-used across participating landlords and estate agents
- We do not make any recommendations
- Reports contain a compendium of data gathered from authoritative sources.

WE PERFORM VERIFICATION
